XI All-Russian “Cinema Night” Campaign
The Krasnoyarsk region welcomed guests with a vibrant «Cinema Night» program!
On August 29, the Krasnoyarsk Region became part of a grand cultural event as the region joined the XI All-Russian “Cinema Night” (Noch Kino) campaign.
The campaign is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation in cooperation with Roskino and the Federal Fund for Social and Economic Support of Domestic Cinematography, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Co-organized by the Russian Cultural Foundation, the campaign’s operator in the Krasnoyarsk Region is «Yenisey Kino».
“Cinema Night” is not just a series of movie screenings. It is a nationwide celebration of film art that unites cinemas, museums, libraries, parks, and cultural centers. This evening, guests enjoyed lectures, tours, meetings with filmmakers, masterclasses, concerts, and, of course, screenings of top Russian films.
“Cinema Night is a special event that unites all lovers of the big screen. Tonight, everyone becomes part of a big film family—from the creators to the audience. We strive to make cinema closer and more accessible to everyone. I am confident that tonight’s event launched a new creative season packed with bright premieres, exciting projects, and engaging film events”, noted Arkady Zinov, Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region.
As part of the campaign, viewers enjoyed some of the biggest and highest-grossing premieres of 2026:
- “Angels of Ladoga” (dir. A. Kott, 2026, 110 min, 16+) – a historical drama about the heroism of athletes defending Leningrad;
- “Cheburashka 2” (dir. D. Dyachenko, 2025, 103 min, 6+) – the continuation of the fairy-tale story beloved by audiences;
- “The Kid” (dir. A. Simonov, 2025, 114 min, 16+) – a war drama about the strength of spirit and forced maturity amid wartime actions;
- “Buratino” (dir. I. Voloshin, 2025, 102 min, 6+) – a brand-new adaptation of the universally loved fairy tale.
The nationwide campaign swept across the entire Krasnoyarsk Region. Events and screenings took place at 235 locations, featuring 863 screenings attended by 26,570 viewers.
This year’s program was truly packed, spanning several days and bringing together various city venues. On August 28, “Yenisey Kino” hosted a meeting with the crew of the series “One of Us” (produced by 3X Media for the NTV channel), giving viewers a chance to chat with the creators.
On August 29, the Ostrov River Club took over the relay, offering an entertainment program. A live jazz band performed soundtracks from famous films, while animators dressed as Buratino and Malvina handed out “Zolotoy Klyuchik” candies. Themed photo zones provided great backdrops for pictures, while masterclasses allowed everyone to find something interesting and broaden their horizons. Guests also put their cinema knowledge to the test in a lively movie trivia quiz.
Irina Belova, General Director of “Yenisey Kino,» announced the upcoming creative film season in the region: «The new creative season promises to be incredibly rich. We see how rapidly filmmaking is developing in our region—from documentary projects about our cultural heritage to large-scale feature films releasing on the big screen and TV. The new season brings 15 new projects of various genres, from family comedies to sci-fi dramas, created by both local Krasnoyarsk directors and federal film companies.»
Guests of “Cinema Night” also enjoyed exclusive previews of new works by Krasnoyarsk filmmakers. The program included Dzhef Agaev’s feature parable “Sinners: The Lamp of Sibogen”, Alexander Arabsky’s docudrama “50 Years of the Sverdlovsky District”, as well as documentaries like Ksenia Buylova’s “Many Children”, Andrey Denisov’s “Old-timers”, and Ilgar Babaev’s “Scientific Knowledge Cycle”, among others.
Furthermore, Krasnoyarsk audiences are eagerly anticipating upcoming projects from federal filmmakers shot right here in the region: the first full-length animated film dedicated to the region, «The Land of Wonders»; the continuation of the thrilling action series, «Our Special Forces»; the romantic comedy, «Maslenitsa»; a sci-fi adventure film starring Alexander Petrov, «Veselchak U»; and the series based on true events, «One of Us».
During this magical night, Krasnoyarsk and the entire region transformed into one massive creative space, uniting people of all generations and interests in a true celebration of cinema.
