International Forum of Filmmakers in Krasnoyarsk Finished

International Forum of Filmmakers that Krasnoyarsk Krai hosted from June 20 to June 22, 2022 closed its doors.

It was one of the major events in Russia dedicated to the development of the regional film industry.

Supported by the Krasnoyarsk Krai Ministry of Culture, the forum was organized by the RSAIC «Enisey Kino». Partners: The Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, Association of Film and Television Producers, «MovieStart» Production Center.

For the first time, Russian and foreign directors, producers, representatives of film and TV companies gathered in such a large group to discuss the challenges and problems of film production. The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, Aleksandr Uss, the Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, Arkadiy Zinov, the Chairman of the Association of Film and Television Producers, Sergey Selyanov (Moscow), the Secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Kalinin (Moscow), General Producers of the «Triiks Media» film company, Inessa Yurchenko and Sergey Shcheglov (St. Petersburg), the President of the group of companies «Prior», Rodion Pavluchik (Moscow), and others participated in the forum. A total of about 30 participants and experts came to the film forum.

On Day 1 of the forum, a round table was held on «Krasnoyarsk Film Region: Features, Solutions, Prospects». This event gave us a lot of insights related to the development of film production in the Krasnoyarsk Krai. 

Day 2 of the International Filmmakers Forum was dedicated to the tour of natural, urban and industrial locations of the city of Krasnoyarsk and its surroundings. The beauty of Eastern Siberia was a pleasant surprise to the guests, many of whom were visiting this part of Russia for the first time. 

All three days of the Forum were so eventful that we are yet to see the full impact of that important initiative.

Holding such a large-scale event was possible after the Krasnoyarsk Krai joined the «Cinema of Russia» project.

It’s worth reminding that last year, in December, the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Krai, Aleksandr Uss, Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Svetlana Chupsheva, and the Chairman of the Association of Film and Television Producers, Sergey Selyanov, signed a tripartite Agreement for Cooperation in Film and TV making Development on the Territory of the Krasnoyarsk Krai.
