The ХI international festival «Short Film Days» opened the call for applications for the «Moscow International Film Week».

The International Festival «Days of Short Films» with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives and the Union of Cinematographers of Russia will be held in Moscow from the 14th to 21th of December. This year the program includes fiction films, documentaries, animation and neural network films by Russian and foreign authors. The prize pool is 1.5 million rubles.

The application for participation can be submitted until the 20th of October, 2024. To do this you need to fill out a questionnaire on the platform www.script.moviestart (Russian-made films) and on the platform https://filmfreeway.com (films of international/foreign production). The shortlist of the competition program will be announced no later than the 1st of November, 2024.

This year is the first the nomination of neural network films is introduced together with the «My Film 48» generative content competition.

After the end of the festival, non-commercial screenings in cinemas, bars, theaters, universities, libraries, schools, Internet portals, shopping malls, museums, coworking spaces, art spaces, tourist centers, «Rossotrudnichestvo» sites will be held in Russian cities from the 21^st of December, 2024 to 15^th of February, 2025 as part of the «Echo» festival. Last year, the screenings attracted an audience of more than 200,000 people. 1100 sessions were held in 25 countries, 70 regions of Russia, 200 cities and 800 venues.

The festival also includes creative meetings and discussions with filmmakers, round tables, open lectures and master classes, as well as research on the problems of integrating debutants into the film industry. All screenings and events are free and open.
