The Film "About the Cow" Received A Diploma For Original Story at In Love With Art the International Film Festival

About the Cow is back in the spotlight!

The movie by directors Anton Simukhin and Nikolai Alekseev (2025) continues to conquer the festivals! At the In Love With Art international film festival was awarded a diploma for original story in the Feature Films category.

The film About the Cow is the winner of the pitching at the IV International Filmmakers Forum in Krasnoyarsk Krai in 2024 and has already been recognized at the 47th Moscow International Film Festival.

This short comedy and drama movie is about an unlucky Moscow native Snezhana, who comes to the village to bury her stepfather and inherit his house. But, sht faces a lack of money for the funeral and ultimately makes the difficult decision to sell her cow. The story creates a tense contrast between the heroine’s urban mentality and the village way of life, pragmatic goals and moral challenges, comic situations and the genuine drama of choice, touching on the topics of inheritance and responsibility, the price of compromise, the clash of dreams with reality, and the search for one’s place between the city and the village.
