A film about love, family and true Russian traditions

The LEGIO FELIX film company continues filming the large—scale family comedy «Maslenitsa» in Krasnoyarsk, one of the most atmospheric cities in Siberia.

The film was directed by Mikhail Merzlikin, the author of the hit «Shaman», and one of the general producers is Vladimir Permyakov, a resident of Krasnoyarsk.

The plot centers on the story of a girl named Polina (Diana Milutina), who dreams of studying abroad. Her chance is to spend a week of Carnival with Chinese student Wang Yu (Wu Haotian). But after an injury, she is forced to transfer her duties to her friend Olya (Valentina Lyapina), who does not know Chinese. What will happen next — adventure, cultural exchange, romance or a miracle? We’ll find out in 2027!

This week, a real winter show unfolded on Tatyshev Island — the final scene of the Carnival week, in which fire, snow and thousands of emotions converged.

This is one of the biggest shots of the whole picture.: hundreds of crowd participants, folklore groups, sparkling bonfires, folk songs and, finally, the majestic burning of an effigy of winter to applause and cheers: «Burn, burn clearly so that it doesn’t go out.»
