Premiere of the Historical Drama “The Three” Held at Dom Kino

A Film About True Heroism

On August 30, the premiere of the movie “The Three” took place at the Dom Kino movie theatre. The feature-length historical drama, produced by the Krasnoyarsk-based Studio 98, tells the tragic story of the legendary exploration expedition in the Eastern Sayan Mountains.

The story is set in the autumn of 1942, during the height of World War II, when Siberia felt empty. A group led by engineer Alexander Koshurnikov, engineer Alexey Zhuravlev, and technician Konstantin Stofato heads deep into the taiga. Their mission is to map out a strategic route for the future Abakan–Taishet railway.

The expedition’s contribution was colossal. Although the journey proved fatal for the heroes, it became a milestone event for future generations.

It is impossible to look away from the enchanting nature of the Krasnoyarsk Region shown on screen! The outdoor filming took place in the Ergaki Nature Park, on the Mana and Kazyr rivers, in Shushenskoye, and around the outskirts of Divnogorsk.

The project was brought to life with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
