Filming Begins on the Sports Drama “The Team” About the Krasnoyarsk Football Club “Totem”
The plot is based on real events, telling the story of a football team made up of orphans from Children’s Home No. 1, who went on to become futsal world champions in 2014 and 2016.
The project is produced by the “Prospekt Mira” Film Company in collaboration with the Russian Football Union, with the financial support of the Cinema Foundation of Russia.
Anton Bogdanov (known for his films Normal Only Me, Ivan Semenov: School Mischief, and others) takes the director’s chair. The leading roles are performed by Sergey Bezrukov, Leon Kemstach, and Artem Bystrov. Sharing the set with them are Daria Pishuk, Timofey Ivanov, Vladimir Serikov, and others.
“I was deeply moved by the story itself—it feels almost like fiction. These kids from an orphanage, who are initially rebellious, aggressive, and struggle to find common ground, gradually learn to work as a team and achieve victories. I believe it is incredibly important today to share such stories with the youth, demonstrating how even what seems practically impossible can be achieved through one’s own dedication and hard work”, shares the film’s director, Anton Bogdanov.
Filming for the project will take place on location in Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, and China. In Krasnoyarsk, logistical and media support is provided by “Yenisey Kino”.
The premiere is scheduled for autumn 2027.
We eagerly look forward to seeing this film hit the big screens!
