The anniversary “Cinema Night” was held on a grand scale in the Krasnoyarsk region
On August 23, 2025, the Krasnoyarsk region became part of a significant cultural event, namely the anniversary 10th All-Russian special event “Cinema Night”. The event correlated with the Russian Cinema Day, brought together thousands of cinema lovers at more than 200 venues in the region.
This activity was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Roskino, the Cinema Foundation and the Russian Culture Fund.
The organizer of event in the Krasnoyarsk region was the Regional State Autonomous Cultural Institution “Enisei Kino”.
The “Cinema Night” is not just a series of film screenings. It is an all-Russian celebration of cinema art that unites the movie theaters, museums, libraries, parks and cultural centers. That evening, the guests participated in the lectures and excursions, meetings with the filmmakers, workshop sessions, concerts and, of course, screenings of the best Russian films.
As a part of the anniversary 10th All-Russian special event “Cinema Night”, the viewers were able to watch three bright premieres of 2025:
- “The Wizard of the Emerald City. The Yellow Brick Road” (directed by I. Voloshin, 2024, 104 minutes, 6+);
- “The Prophet. The Story of Alexander Pushkin” (directed by F. Umarov, 2024, 137 minutes, 12+);
- “Blood Type” (directed by M. Brius, 2025, 98 minutes, 12+).
The All-Russian event covered the entire Krasnoyarsk regions, where 627 film screenings were held at 209 venues, attended by 26,406 viewers.
Irina Belova, director general of Yenisei Kino, noted: “This event has already become an integral part of the cultural life of our region, giving everyone a chance to immerse themselves in the world of cinema and experience its charm. The “Cinema Night” has proved that cinematography unites generations and makes new memories. It is not just a film screening, it is a real cultural holiday that awaits its viewers every year”.
The film industry united all areas of the city, starting from the river banks to the cozy libraries. On this amazing night, the films came to life not only in the familiar and typical movie theatiers, but also in the most unexpected places in the city:
- Ostrov River Club (Abakanskaya Protoka) — an atmospheric venue with a stunning riverfront;
- Dom Kino movie theater on Mira Prospect — the keeper of cinematic traditions;
- Mechta Specialized Children’s Movie Theater — a creative space on Michurin Street;
- Kamenka Park — a green area with a cinematic mood;
- Open-air cinema “Mama, I’m at the movies!” in the picturesque Pokrovsky Park’
- Regional children and youth libraries, where cinematography meets the books.
This year, Yenisei Kino in partnership with the radio station Silver Rain — Krasnoyarsk came up with something special for the Cinema Night in Krasnoyarsk, namely an open-air art garden party. The program turned out to be rather eventful: the brass band played background music from the soundtracks to famous films, and the guests actively participated in a workshop session devoted to the acting improvisation under the guidance of Denis Zykov, who played one of the main roles in the TV series Ronin and Ronin-2. A dance battle with Igor Kraglik added energy, and an exhibition of movie cars allowed the participants to plunge into the world of cinematic legends. The thematic photo areas became a great place for amazing pictures, and the learning grounds engaged the attention of everyone who wanted to learn something new.
Every part of Krasnoyarsk turned into a space for creativity and inspiration. The “Cinema Night” proved that love for cinematography unites all people from youngest to oldest. This is not just a film screening, but a real holiday, where everyone found something interesting: someone discovered the abilities of an actor, someone became a director, and someone simply enjoyed the magic of the big screen in an unusual setting.
The all-Russian event starts a new creative film season that will offer a lot of interesting activities, including shooting of new films and TV series in the Krasnoyarsk region.
