Vladimir Putin signed a law on state funding for animation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on full government funding for production and distribution of national animated films for children and adolescents.

As a reminder, amendments were made to the law “On State Support for Cinematography in the Russian Federation” – previously, full government funding for animation was not provided.

The law also includes among the Ministry of Culture’s key areas of activity the annual approval of state support amounts for national films of various categories, as well as the approval of priority themes for these projects.
