Filming Begins on the Fourth Season of TV-3’s Hit Series “Ronin” Starring Dmitrii Palamarchuk

Production has officially kicked off in St. Petersburg and the Krasnoyarsk Region for the fourth season of the TV-3 series “Ronin”. In the upcoming episodes, Ivan Doronin will face dangerous crimes and a true test of power.

Having taken on the role of reserve director in a remote Karelian village, Ivan Doronin hopes to finally settle down into a quiet life with his family. However, the former special forces operative finds plenty of trouble waiting for him. He will have to rescue a local treasure hunter from aggressive creditors and unravel the mysterious theft of Professor Popov’s ancient book collection. But the true battle will be against his own inner demons. Doronin faces an agonizing choice: give in to temptation or find the strength to save his family and stay true to his principles.

Meanwhile, a series of mysterious disappearances of foreign nationals shakes the distant Siberian village of Medvezhye. Doronin’s friends—local police officer Valery Samsonov, FSB Major Ignat Polukhin, and forest guard chief Sergey Potapov—take on the investigation. They quickly realize the case has the potential to escalate into an international scandal.

The project is produced by the “3X Media” Film Company in collaboration with “Siberia 3X Media” by order of the TV-3 network. Production is supported logistically by Yenisey Kino and the Krasnoyarsk Region Film Commission. The new season of the detective drama will consist of 48 episodes.

Konstantin Obukhov, General Producer of TV-3: “Ronin is one of TV-3’s most successful franchises. Ever since its first season, the series has delivered strong ratings, and we deeply value the audience’s love for this project, its atmosphere, and its characters. The series doesn’t just have a massive audience on TV-3—it has a devoted fan base. For us, this is a clear sign that we are creating a truly worthy and important project”.

Inessa Yurchenko, General Producer and Co-founder of “3X Media” Film Company:

“The launch of filming for the fourth season of Ronin is a significant event for us. Many thanks to the leadership of TV-3 for their trust. We are absolutely thrilled to return to our familiar Krasnoyarsk Region. It is wonderful that the fan-favorite story of the main character Ivan Doronin, brilliantly played by actor Dmitry Palamarchuk, will continue here in the vast expanses of Siberia. Alongside our branch, Siberia 3X Media, we are starting production on the new season with fresh strength and energy inspired by the Siberian nature, the residents of the Krasnoyarsk Region, and all TV-3 viewers. Thank you for your support. Special thanks to Yenisey Kino and the Krasnoyarsk Region Film Commission for our collaborative efforts in developing Siberian cinematography”.

Igor Draka, Director:

“In the fourth season, we have prepared new challenges, unexpected twists of fate, temptations, and crimes for Doronin. Nothing matters more to us than the support of our audience. That is why we strive to continually expand the show’s universe, making the story even more unique and thrilling while preserving the atmosphere that resonates so deeply with our viewers. And, of course, we have no intention of stopping here—there is still so much exciting content ahead”.

Dmitry Palamarchuk, Lead Actor:

“For me, returning to “Ronin” always brings a special feeling. Over the course of working on this series, the Krasnoyarsk Region has truly become close to my heart. I’ve fallen in love with these places, the landscapes, the Yenisei River, the mountains, and, of course, the people we work with here. Coming back here feels just like coming home.

I find Ivan Doronin fascinating—he is a character who keeps evolving, discovering himself, and learning how to build relationships with his loved ones. For all his strength, determination, and ability to handle the toughest situations, he remains a real human being with his own vulnerabilities, doubts, and inner conflicts. I love that with each new season, we can dive deeper into his character, showing how he changes under the influence of his circumstances and the people around him.

To me, “Ronin” has long been something much bigger than just an action-packed story. It’s a series about family, responsibility, and justice—about how vital it is to stay true to yourself and remain human in any situation. And, of course, Siberia plays a massive role. This nature possesses an incredible power, and I feel it doesn’t just set the atmosphere, but largely defines the very nature of our story.

A new filming stage lies ahead, bringing new trials for Doronin and new stories for us to tell. I’m thrilled to reunite with the crew and return to the Krasnoyarsk Region. I hope the audience will feel the energy and love we continue to pour into “Ronin”.
