Vladimir Putin signed the law on full state financing of children's films

The law applies to films that are allowed to be viewed by children under the age of 18: «films for children and youth — a film that is intended for viewing by children under the age of eighteen years, is aimed at educating the younger generation, created on the basis of a script and corresponds in theme, content and artistic and stylistic decision to the physical, mental, spiritual and moral development of children.»

Now the state can assume full funding for the creation and distribution of such films: “The federal executive body in the field of cinematography, in the manner prescribed by part two of Article 7 of this Federal Law, decides on state funding in the amount of 100 percent of the estimated cost of production …”
