The Russian Ministry of Culture will support the production of at least 140 national films

Funding will be distributed through the government initiative «Development of Art and Creativity,» with a focus on family, national history, events from the Great Patriotic War, and special operations. Particular focus will be dedicated to Russian culture and customs, as well as key scientific achievements.

According to the department’s chief, Olga Lyubimova, our film distribution business not only rapidly adapted to the sanctions, but also demonstrated great success: by mid-December, its volume had topped 43 billion rubles, with domestic films accounting for 33 billion of that.
