The First day of the 4th International Film Production Forum
On June 2, the 4th International Film Production Forum is opened in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The event is organized by the Yenisei Kino Regional State Cultural Institution with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Eighteen producers from major Russian and international film companies have arrived in the regional capital. This year, which marks one of the two Cross Years of Culture between Russia and China (2024–2025), the Forum is welcoming a delegation from the People’s Republic of China for the first time.
The Forum will run until June 5. The program includes business meetings, presentations, film screenings, and creative sessions. On June 3, a business meeting with local filmmakers took place. The moderator was Irina Belova, SEO of Yenisei Kino, who highlighted the dynamic development of film production in the region.
During the meeting, Forum guests and key representatives of the regional film industry shared their experiences and exchanged views on organizing film shoots in the regions. Krasnoyarsk-based producers gave presentations on their resources and capabilities and spoke about the advantages of filming in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
As part of the Forum’s cultural program, the “House of Cinema” in Krasnoyarsk hosted a screening of films that won the pitch competition held in 2024 during the 3rd International Film Production Forum in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
In the “Documentary Film” category, the winner was Leading Role by director Anastasia Shkitina. In the “Feature Film” category, the winning film was About the Cow by directors Nikolai Alekseev and Anton Simukhin. This film represented Russia in the short film competition of the 47th Moscow International Film Festival.
On June 3, a major event was a creative meeting with the creators of the TV series Ronin (TV-3 channel) in Divnogorsk. The meeting was attended by the director Igor Draka, the Head of the series Vladimir Kalinkin and leading actors of the series: Dmitry Palamarchuk, Daria Lyubivaya, Andrei Pashnin, Denis Zykov, Alexander Dyakonov, Vladimir Myasnikov, Valerii Zaitsev, Maria Linetskaya (Bakhareva), Anna Domnikova. The event was moderated by Svetoslav Zhadanov, Director of Communications at Triix Media.
During the creative meeting, local residents and guests watched an episode from the first season, which was filmed in the Divnogorsk area in 2024. They also had a chance to meet the creators and ask questions.
Currently, the filming of the Ronin series continues in the vicinity of Divnogorsk and the village of Ust-Mana.
On June 2 and 3, as part of the Forum’s cultural program, film screenings were held in the cities of Kansk and Minusinsk. Audiences had the opportunity to see «Legends of Our Ancestors» by Ivan Sosnin, «Long Shot» by Vladimir Golovnev, and a compilation of films supported by the RFPC, including «Carved from Cedar» by Semyon Kolesnikov, «Out of Place» by Margarita Volkova, and «Siberian Workshop: Contemporary Art» by Vladimir Boturov.
Over the next two days, the Forum’s agenda includes the discussion session “Film Production Plans for 2026–2028,” a round table on “Developing Film Production Resources in the Krasnoyarsk Territory,” a creative meeting with producer Teymur Dzhafarov, and film screenings across the region—in Krasnoyarsk, Kansk, and Minusinsk.

Background Information:
On November 24, 2022, the Law “On State Support for Cinematography in the Krasnoyarsk Territory” was adopted. It provides for: subsidies to reimburse part of the costs associated with producing national films (or parts of them) in the region; subsidies for the production of anniversary films; subsidies for the production of a cinematic chronicle of the Krasnoyarsk Territory; subsidies for the production and distribution of the newsreel Yenisei Meridian; grants supporting documentary filmmaking; and informational and consulting support for cinematographic organizations.
Over the past three years, more than 15 feature films and series (Krasny Yar, Nevsky, The First Division, Magnificent Five, New Year’s Letter, Ronin, Grandfather, and others), as well as over 30 documentaries, have been filmed in the region.
In the same period, 228 roles were performed by professional actors, 1,072 roles by extras, and 131 film production specialists from the Krasnoyarsk Territory took part in filming.
Currently, the second season of the Ronin series is being filmed in the vicinity of Divnogorsk and the village of Ust-Mana. Several projects are also planned for fall 2025.
