The shooting of the full-length film "Grandpa" produced by the Mustangfilm film company has been completed in the Krasnoyarsk Krai

The project was provided with organizational and informational support by KGAUK «Yenisei Cinema».

The producer of the film is Egor Shorokhov, a native of Igarka, Krasnoyarsk Krai, who previously worked on such projects as «Smart Masha», «Disobedient», «Stand-up undercover» and «Olivier». Egor also participated in the II and III International Forums of Film Producers in the Krasnoyarsk Krai, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Krai.

The film «Grandpa» is a story of growing up and overcoming fears. The main characters are the grandfather and his grandson, who suffers from agoraphobia (a mental disorder — fear of crowds). In an attempt to help his grandson, the grandfather puts their lives in danger, and now the fate of the family depends on whether the boy can cope with phobia and the Siberian taiga.

«The full—length feature film «Grandfather» is a project implemented with the support of a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The film’s crew included about 80 people, 60 of whom were specialists from the Krasnoyarsk Krai, and one of the key roles in the film was played by Daria Mamicheva, an artist of the Krasnoyarsk Young Spectator Theater. The experience gained by Krasnoyarsk actors working in such projects along with movie and theater stars is very valuable. It is also important that our talented young people, graduates of creative specialties, see that they have the opportunity to realize their potential without leaving their native land,» commented Arkady Zinov, Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Krai.

The main roles were played by Vladimir Gostyukhin, an Honored Artist of the RSFSR, known for the films «Truckers», «Ragged Wind», «Many Children», «Steep Measures», and Vsevolod Klimenok, a young actor for whom this work has already become the second main role in cinema, despite his age of only 12 years.

Irina Pegova, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, winner of the Golden Eagle Award (films «Walk», «Royal Vaccination», «Chaliapin», «Midwife»);

Konstantin Chepurin — Russian actor and screenwriter (films «What men talk about», «Radio Day», «Kitchen»);

Olga Vinichenko — film actress (films «Spy», «Policeman’s Wife», «Secretary»);

Artyom Tkachenko is a Russian actor (films «One Breath», «Vampires of the Middle lane», «Umalta Gold»).

The main filming locations are picturesque places of the Krasnoyarsk Krai: the Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park, a farm in the Berezovsky district, the village of Mina, the bank of the Mana River and the village of Memory of 13 Fighters.

Vladimir Gostyukhin: «Such a beautiful, harsh, rich land. This is not my first time here, I worked in Krasnoyarsk on the film «Highway» 30 years ago. Sure, Krasnoyarsk has changed a lot during this time.»

Irina Pegova: «This is the second time in my life I have been to the Krasnoyarsk Krai and both times I was completely delighted. It’s a very beautiful region.»

Artyom Tkachenko: «Out of the corner of my eye I managed to see the Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park, it is a very beautiful place, picturesque. Especially when you know that there are 30 thousand bears walking in the Krasnoyarsk Krai.»

Konstantin Chepurin: «This is not my first time in these parts and it is always a good, sincere welcome. We first shot in the taiga, on a farm. There’s just an indescribable beauty there.»
