A New Milestone for the Filmmaking in the Krasnoyarsk Krai

The development of cinematography in the Krasnoyarsk Krai will reach a new height. Supported by the Krasnoyarsk Krai government, new divisions will be housed by the Regional State Budget Institution of Culture «Enisey Kino» to further develop filmmaking in the region.

They’ll start operating as early as January, 2022.

The first announcement was made during the «Russian Creatie Week. Siberia» forum that took place in Krasnoyarsk at the end of November.

One of the divisions is a Newsreel Department that will start issuing the «Enisei River’s Meridian» film magazine.

Or, to be more precise, they’ll revive and continue the traditions of the Krasnoyarsk documentary filmmaking in the Krasnoyarsk Krai.

The second division is a Department for Assistance in Organizing of Film and TV Shooting (authorized organization of the Regional Film Commission).

Providing information and administrative support to the filmmakers who want to work on the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Krai will be one of its main goals.

The creation of the Film Commission is crucially important.

This is a real opportunity to create a whole film industry cluster that will attract Russian and international filmmakers to the Krasnoyarsk Krai, promote tourism, increase overall attractiveness of the region for investors, and boost innovations and creative industries in the field of audiovisual technology.
