New Action Series “One of Us” Has Begun Filming in Region

Filming for the action series “One of Us” for NTV has officially begun in Krasnoyarsk Region. The project is being produced by Triiks Media with the support of Yenisei Kino and Siberia Triiks Media. Based on real events, the series tells the gripping story of an FSB officer who infiltrates a closed religious cult to uncover its secrets. Much of the filming will take place in the region’s unique natural locations.

The project’s director is Denis Neimand:

“We plan to film in forests and taiga, along mountain rivers. We will showcase the region’s beautiful and recognizable landmarks, as well as locations that will be a true revelation for viewers. It is crucial for us that the natural beauty of Krasnoyarsk Region is not just a backdrop, but a fully-fledged part of the story. We are also counting on the support of relevant specialists, whose consultations will help ensure the on-screen action is as authentic as possible”.

According to the plot, FSB officer Andrei Filatov (Kirill Baloban) is tasked with infiltrating the closed religious cult “The Church of the Last Revelation”, led by the self-proclaimed messiah Illarion. To gain the cult’s trust and avoid detection, Filatov must undergo a radical transformation, facing extreme challenges and personal trials.

Kirill Baloban, who plays the leading role, admitted that he is particularly looking forward to filming in the Krasnoyarsk Region:

“I’m starting work on the series with great excitement. I have a wonderful feeling about it, as we are surrounded by stunning nature. Since much of the filming will take place on location—in forests and open spaces—I’m sure I’ll be able to fully experience the region’s atmosphere. If possible, I’d also like to explore the city itself and see its sights. As for my character, I think it’s important to portray a real person, not a flawless superhero who easily overcomes any challenge. My hero will have to endure serious trials, confronting his fears, doubts, and internal conflicts. It’s this human side that makes the character interesting and allows the audience to empathize with him”.

Filming will take place in picturesque locations in the Krasnoyarsk Region, including Divnogorsk and the village of Ust-Mana. The project will feature actors from Krasnoyarsk, as well as over a thousand residents of the region, who will take part in crowd scenes.

According to Denis Neimand, the participation of Krasnoyarsk residents will be an important part of the project:

“The participation of local residents and actors is especially important for our story. The series tells of events that affected many people, so it features many characters and stories. We have already begun working with actors from Krasnoyarsk during filming in Saint Petersburg, and more actors will join the project as we continue to work in the region. Krasnoyarsk has a strong film school and talented actors, and I am confident that this collaboration will be interesting and beneficial for everyone involved”.

The series will be premiered on NTV.
