The Yenisei Kino film crew has begun recording interviews for the heartwarming documentary “he Family’s Legacy Wing”, dedicated to the life of Tatyana Alabina’s family.

Tatyana’s family history is not only connected to the Surikov estate, where the first filming took place, but also to the distinguished Krasnoyarsk native himself. While she is not directly related to Surikov, there is a strong spiritual connection and friendship. The artist’s brother and the house’s caretaker, Alexander Ivanovich Surikov, was her grandmother’s godfather. When the family was orphaned, he took his goddaughter’s large family under his wing, and they moved into the Surikov house.

The first stage of the film’s production was a lengthy interview with the film’s subject, Tatyana Alabina. The director envisions this as the basis for the plot.

“I want this film to happen. It’s about the story of one Krasnoyarsk family, intertwined with all the events of the 20th century, from Tsarist Russia and the USSR to the present day. My family home still exists, and it now houses the V.I. Surikov Museum. This home is a place of strength for me. I believe that support in life can always be found in family, your roots, and the support of loved ones. I want to pass this information on to my children and grandchildren”, Tatyana Alabina shares her impressions.
