Best Documentary Projects Selected in Krasnoyarsk region
Since 2014, the Krasnoyarsk region Ministry of Culture has supported the «Krasnoyarsk Documentary Film» funding program. A single project may receive up to 3,000,000 rubles in funding.
Grant-eligible films are chosen through a competitive process. The formation of spiritual and cultural values as well as patriotic education are the main topics of these movies. In 2025, 19 applications in all were filed.
The winning projects are:
«Kirill in space. «The Tale of a Nazarovo Cosmonaut,» which Mikhail Merzlikin directed. Veter Peremen Film Studio is producing the project.
This narrative is not just about space; it’s also about how a youngster from Siberia, where the stars are closer than the capital, overcame his intransigence to accomplish a great feat. And how one man demonstrated that if you’re not scared to dream aloud, you can reach orbit even from the smallest town.
The director of «Andrey Pozdeyev: A Man Without an Umbrella,» Andrey Denisov.
LLC “Sibir Triiks Media” is producing the project.
A movie honoring Krasnoyarsk artist A.G. Pozdeyev’s 100th birthday.
Little-known periods of the artist’s life and career are revealed in this biography. Living Krasnoyarsk artists will reminisce about Andrey Gennadyevich, and the film includes his contemporaries. A musical score, unique graphics, and a design project will all be made especially for the movie.
Ivan Voloshin, director of «School of Hope in Zheblakhty: Life Lessons,» OOO Wolverine Film is producing the project.
A day in the life of a rural school in the village of Zheblakhty, Ermakovsky District, Krasnoyarsk region, is the subject of this observational film. The school transforms into a hub for folk culture, spirituality, and future optimism in addition to being a place of education. The fates of educators, pupils, and the school itself—where a whole world resides—are disclosed through a beautifully poetic narrative.
The director of «Stronger Than Stone» is Vasily Builov.
Individual entrepreneur Vasily Anatolyevich Builov is producing the project.
This is the narrative of Stolby National Park, a distinctive ecological, historical, and cultural site that is home to the uncommon phenomena known as «stolbism» and has come to represent the Krasnoyarsk region. The project’s goal is to produce a film that tells the story of the park and the people who have spent decades exploring, conserving, and understanding it: climbers, ecologists, photographers, scientists, local historians, and enthusiasts.
Each film project must be fully completed by December 31, 2025.
Traditionally, film presentations on big screens in Krasnoyarsk will take place in early 2026.
