The Closing Ceremony of the 3rd SiberiaDOC International Documentary Film Festival Took Place at the Krasnoyarsk Dom Kino

On December 6, the Krasnoyarsk Dom Kino hosted the closing ceremony of the 3rd SiberiaDOC International Documentary Film Festival, the main event in the world of documentary cinema in the Urals region.

The Grand Prix went to the Franco-Brazilian team for the Boats film, directed by Vincent Boujon.

The best film in the short-length and medium-length film competition was The Shadow of the King by Iranian director Hadi Shariati. The best film in the Russian film competition was Black Snowstorm by Mira Erkenova, filmed in Norilsk. The audience jury voted for the best film to be Ne Chuzhie by Nina Izotova.

Two special mentions were given to works by Russian directors: 99 Letters about Everything by Dmitry Zhukov and The Postman by Karen Gevorkyan.

The SiberiaDOC Film Festival has been held in Krasnoyarsk since 2023, introducing audiences to unique human stories from around the world, including from remote corners of Russia and Siberia.
