Presentation of the film "NANNIES"
On March 11, the Cinema House hosted a presentation of the film «NANNIES» by director Artur Sokolov.
This touching documentary highlights one of today’s most pressing social issues: in remote villages in the north of Krasnoyarsk region, many children are denied the opportunity to attend school and are forced to leave their homes to attend boarding schools, the most well-known of which is the boarding school in the village of Yartsevo, which accepts students from Old Believer families. The video also highlights critical concerns about how to assist young children adjust to a new environment and cope with separation from their families, and it demonstrates how vital nannies are in this process, providing their support during a terrible time in their life.
Following the film, there was a spirited conversation with the crowd that included executive producer Elena Ligina. She told the tale of the film’s making and its significance in society. Watching our video allows you to immerse yourself in the ambiance and hear reactions from the crowd.
