Kinomayevka festival took place at the Tavrida Art Cluster in Crimea

From May 1st to 3rd, the Kinomayevka festival took place at the Tavrida Art Cluster in Crimea. Three days of immersion in the film industry, 5,000 spectators, and 70 films were screened.

Kinomayevka is a new platform for interaction between the film industry and the government, bringing together those who make films and those who help them come to life in various regions across Russia.

The art cluster has become a magnet for professional community, a place where the film industry and the government can come together.

30 events on the business program: discussions about values, regional film commissions, and feedback that provides insight into the future.

The “Bridge.Horizons” competition for young filmmakers received over 200 applications, and the main program included 43 films from 42 regions, open-air film screenings, retrospectives of classics and premieres, shows, master classes, and concerts.

Irina Gennadyevna Belova, General Director of the Yenisei Kino Regional State Autonomous Cultural Institution, participated in the business program. As part of the industry session, she presented a report on the opportunities and resources for supporting the film industry from regional representatives.

In her speech, Irina Gennadyevna emphasized the importance of state support for regional cinema and outlined the mechanisms available in the Krasnoyarsk Region.

Furthermore, Irina Belova was featured in a special podcast for the Federal Film Commission portal, explaining that regional film is more than just an industry; it is an opportunity to unlock the potential of the territories, create new jobs, and showcase unique cultural characteristics.

The Kinomayevka business program continued with a discussion titled “Region and Industry: How to Build a Film Production System”. Representatives of the country’s largest film commissions participated in the discussion on where regional filmmakers should look for infrastructure and funding.

  • Anna Yarina, Director of the Cinematography Department of the Russian Ministry of Culture
  • Fyodor Sosnov, Executive Director of the Cinema Fund
  • Roman Karmanov, General Director of the Perm Film Foundation
  • Alena Sibiryakova, General Producer of the “Medvezhonok” Festival and Head of the Perm Film Commission
  • Ilya Nikiforov, Deputy Director of the Social Development Department of the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Far East and Arctic

Over the course of three days, participants exchanged experiences, opinions, and professional inquiries. This dialogue resulted in new partnerships, agreements, and joint projects.
