III Regional Cinema Forum "New Vector"

The greatest regional cinema forum has begun in Istra. It will take place from June 26 to 27 and will bring together around 120 notable industry representatives from more than 20 regions across the country.

The forum’s main theme is the issue of federal distribution of regional documentary films and their popularity in society.

The participants include Dmitry Davidenko, Director of the Department of Cinematography and Digital Development at Russia’s Ministry of Culture, Larisa Solonitsyna, Chairman of the Council of the FPRK, Mikhail Kalinin, Organizing Secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation, and many others. Irina Belova, General Director of the KGAUK «Yenisei Kino,» will speak at the forum. Irina Gennadyevna participates in two important platforms:

There will also be a discussion session about festivals as an alternative to documentary film distribution.

The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Olga Lyubimova, and the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Vorobyov, all opened the Forum with greetings.

On the first day of the Forum, film industry professionals talked about the mission of documentary films.

The second day of the Forum will focus on the marketing of documentary films. On the same day, key representatives from the Russian film business will propose nonfiction projects in their last phases or completed films (to find distributors and online outlets).

The shortlist included nine projects from Moscow, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk and Tyumen.
