Four film projects have passed to the second stage of selection for subsidies from the budget of Krasnoyarsk region

The Krasnoyarsk region Film Commission met on July 4, 2025. At the meeting, proposals admitted to the first round of selection for the provision of subsidies to film organizations (excluding state (local) institutions) were considered in terms of the creative component and scale supplied by the regional budget to film organizations.

Among them are bright and multi-genre projects:

«Grandfather» is a feature film produced by the Moscow-based film studio «Mustang Film». Filming takes place in September and October 2024. Cast: Vladimir Gostyukhin, Irina Pegova, Konstantin Chepurin, and others.

«Ronin. Season 2» is a feature series by the film company OOO «Parity Film» (St. Petersburg). The project is in the active production stage: filming began in April and will last until August 2025.

«Tales of Yenisei» is a children’s animation production by the Chernovik studio in Moscow. The action in the full-length animated picture takes place in Krasnoyarsk. The real city, with its embankments and key streets, coexists with an unknown fantasy world. The film’s main character will demonstrate the beauty of the Stolby natural reserve, uncover the origins of rock formations, and immerse the audience in the spirit of Siberian adventures. The Cinema Fund is supporting the project, which has been in the works since February 2024.

«Father» is a feature film by the Kinomir production film company (Moscow) — filmed in October 2024 in the village of Bolshaya Rechka, Ermakovsky District.

All four submitted proposals cleared the first step of selection and advanced to the second level. This year, all applications were filed for the first time through the site for the provision of financial state assistance measures (https://promote.budget.gov.ru), which is used to identify subsidy recipients. The site allows you to gather information on all competitively awarded subsidies from the federal or regional budgets in one location, as well as ensure the transparency of the selection procedures.

The Krasnoyarsk region is becoming an increasingly popular filmmaking site. Since 2022, more than 15 feature film projects have been shot in the region, including TV series, full-length feature films, and more than 30 documentaries. Every year, federal programs show an increased interest in filmmaking in the Krasnoyarsk region.

On November 24, 2022, the Law «On State Support for Cinematography in the Krasnoyarsk region » was adopted, which provides for: subsidies for financial reimbursement of part of the costs associated with the production of national films (parts of national films) in the territory of the region; subsidies for the production of anniversary films; subsidies for the production of a film chronicle of the Krasnoyarsk region; subsidies for the production and distribution.

Eight film projects got funds between 2023 and 2024, including the series Nevsky-7 (Siberia Triix Media film company, Krasnoyarsk), First Department-4 and Ronin (Triix Media film business, St. Petersburg), the feature picture New Year’s Letter (Mechta film company, Krasnoyarsk), and others.
