The President has signed an Executive Order «On celebrating Viktor Astafyev’s 100th birth anniversary».

Vladimir Putin instructed to form an organizing committee for the preparation and celebration of Viktor Astafyev’s 100th birth anniversary, to approve its members, as well as to develop and approve of the plan of the main activities to prepare and celebrate Viktor Astafyev’s 100th birth anniversary.

The President also decided to recommend to the public authorities of subjects of the Russian Federation and local authorities to take part in preparing and carrying out the events devoted to the celebration of the 100th birth anniversary of Viktor Astafyev.
