From September 12 to 14, 2024, the XIII Nazarovo Film Forum, named in honor of Marina Ladynina, was held in Krasnoyarsk Krai

Forum organizer: Yenisey Kino supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Krai.

The main objective of the film forum is popularization of the film history of the Krasnoyarsk Krai and Russian cinema, preservation and development of the cultural heritage of the Russian Federation, familiarity of young people with the heritage of the national cinema art.

The film forum started with the grand opening of the XIII star on the Alley of Stars in the Marina Ladynina Square in Nazarovo. The Film Forum drew more than 5,110 guests and became a special event for the region. The forum was held in Nazarovo, Achinsk, Sharypovo, and Bogotol, bringing together audiences and famous actors.

Vladimir Saar, the head of Nazarovo, thanked the distinguished guests and noted the significance of the event for the upbringing of the younger generation.

“The annual Film Forum named in honor of Marina Ladynina means a lot for the upbringing of the younger generation: children and teenagers get involved in film art and shape out-of-the-box thinking, most notably for the future of our city. We are happy that Nazarovo is becoming a cultural platform for such remarkable events.”

A varied program of entertainment, master classes by top Russian actors, meet-the-artist events, and film screenings were available for the guests and residents of the region.

Famous actors, including Aleksey Barabash, Vasily Mishchenko, Yelena Borzova, Maksim Studenovsky, Alesa Kacher, and actors of the Krasnoyarsk Drama Theater named in honor of A.S. Pushkin, Asya Malevanova, and Aleksey Popov, shared their stories, recited poems, sang songs, and inspired the audience. The film concert drew particular attention, allowing the audience to enjoy a performance of their favorite compositions.

“The Krasnoyarsk Krai is picturesque. There is beautiful nature here, people are very interesting, and types are versatile. There are many locations in Krasnoyarsk Krai: from oil refineries to scenic beauties,” remarked Aleksey Barabash, actor of stage and screen of the film forum.

“There is a very warm welcome here. Krasnoyarsk Krai is a different planet with an impressive atmosphere. When you get on stage, you’re nervous, yet you see these grins and tears in their eyes. I met with children and their parents today. The audience here is more responsive than anywhere else, so I burst into tears,” shared Alesa Kacher, a film forum attendee and an actress of stage and screen.

Aside from the business and educational program, the Film Forum featured screenings of the following films: Everyone Dreams of a Dog (directed by Olga Belyaeva, Russia, 2024, 6+), Time to Return (directed by Ivan Pavlov, Russia, 2024, 12+), and A Pupil of Suvorov Military College 1944 (directed by Denis Kazantsev, Russia, 2024, 6+).

The XIII Film Forum, named in honor of Marina Ladynina, was completed on September 14 with a film concert with the participation of all invited actors in the City Palace of Culture of Achinsk.

Note:

The Law on State Support of Cinematography in Krasnoyarsk Krai was adopted at the session of the Legislative Assembly in the second reading on November 24, 2022.

With the support of Yenisey Kino, during this period, more than six federal film projects, such as Krasny Yar, Nevsky-7, The First Department (2 seasons), The Magnificent Five, The New Year Letter, Ronin (TV show), and I Am a Recovering Addict (a social project), as well as a student documentary project of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography called My Krasnoyarsk Uncle, were filmed in Krasnoyarsk Krai.

In September, Mustang Film will begin shooting a full-length feature with the tentative title Grandpa.

More than 180 professional actors, more than 400 extra actors, and more than 80 experts of film production have participated in filming since 2022.

 

Famous screen actors became participants of the Film Forum including:

Aleksey Barabash is a Russian stage and film actor (films: The Challenge, 2023; The Dawns Here Are Quiet, 2015; What Men Talk About. Continuation, 2018). He acted in more than 50 films.

Vasily Mishchenko is a Soviet and Russian stage and screen actor, director, and film producer; Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2001). He acted in Hockey Dads; Hostess of the Inn; A Newcomer; and A Game with Fire.

Yelena Borzova is a Soviet and Russian actress, Winner of the USSR State Prize (1984), Member of the Union of Theatre Figures of the Russian Federation, and Member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia. She acted in more than 60 films. She acted in Unbroken; A Foster Parent; and An Adder Stone).

Alesa Kacher is a Belarusian actress (TV shows: Captain Krutov’s Operetta; A Kind Word; Old Ladies on the Run (Seasons 1 and 2). Alesa Kacher became most popular after playing a main role in 12 Months, directed by Aleksandr Barshak, released in 2013. Alesa Kacher is a winner of a beauty contest and holder of the title Beauty of Moscow-2013. She acted in 35 films.
