Applications Are Now Open for the “Animatika” Festival in Artek
The Animation Film Association and the Artek International Children’s Center are pleased to announce the launch of submissions for the 9th International Children’s Animation Film Festival “Animatika”.
Animatika is where dreams come alive on screen and friendship and creativity know no borders!
Yenisei Kino is the Festival’s annual partner, and its General Director, Irina Belova, acts as the Program Director.
In August 2026, 36 winning participants will travel to the legendary Artek camp for a special creative session!
2026 Theme: “Beloved Soyuzmultfilm Characters Are Among Us!” Celebrating 90 years of Soyuzmultfilm, we invite participants to reimagine timeless characters — Winnie the Pooh, Cheburashka, Gromozeka, and more — in today’s world. Let your imagination run wild: let them start blogs, attend school, launch viral challenges, or even fly into space!
Eligibility:
- Age: 10–17 years
- Work: Created in 2026, duration 3–10 minutes
- Individual or team applications (up to 3 people)
- Technique & genre: Any, as long as it aligns with the theme
How to Apply:
- Create an animated short film based on the theme.
- Fill out the official application form.
- Upload your film to a file-sharing platform (e.g., Yandex.Disk, Google Drive, etc.).

The expert review period runs until May 29, 2026.
